Cancellation Policy

The full amount of your booking is held on credit card as submitted.

 

The first night's stay is considered non-refundable but the remaining amount can be refunded if notice is received at least two weeks prior. Reservations made within fourteen days of arrival are considered final and fully charged upon booking. If we are able to resell rooms after the two week cutoff date, any resold amount will be refunded.

Special Note Update: 2020-03-20

Our little healthy/hearty home is hurting a bit today. It is with a heavy heart that I confirm that the Stratford Festival has made the wise choice to cancel shows for April and May. We are all so very hopeful that the shows do go on for June through November. As a small business which depends almost exclusively upon the theatre, this isn’t devastating news just yet but it does have an impact on our ability to remain in business should it go on too long. We depend upon dedicated guests not only here at Rosehurst but also here in Stratford. 

So where does that leave you and your deposit here at Rosehurst?

Deposits have been processed but we do have and will honour the 14 day refund policy for all except the first night’s stay.  Please understand that these deposits are our winter operating budget to keep the lights on, do repairs and maintenance and to be sure that the business is here and your room is ready for you when things get back to normal. 

Here are your options:

  • You are entitled to a refund of all except the first nights’ stay which is non-refundable per our booking policy and as laid out in your confirmation email.

  • But I am determined not to leave you hanging with this...If you have a reservation that is only one night; I am going one step further. I shall post $100 Cdn Dollars of this deposit as a credit and move you to a date of your choice in 2020 or 2021 if possible.  Please understand that I would love nothing more than to provide 100% refund but it simply is not possible without sinking the entire ship.

  • Some returning guests have been extremely kind and offered this option to me: Please let me know if you wish to leave your entire deposit with me and let me move your reservation to a future date as soon as you are able to obtain new tickets. These reservations will be first on the list for rebooking. There is bound to be even tighter demand during peak time in July/August/September and even October. I wish to keep you here with me!

I am so sorry that I can’t do more.  Rosehurst is a small, seasonal business with a tiny profit margin that is a labour of love and there are no great reserves to weather such an unprecendented storm. 

I hope you stay safe and I promise to do the same until we shall meet again.
